In this lesson, you will learn basic and intermediate coding in one post, as they all tend to mesh together.
Basics
General Code:
In order for me to do this properly, you'll need to see how I've done the Code box that you see when filling out request forms, etc.
Simply put:
without the asterisk (*) :]
Sizing Text
Okay, so some posts have large text, others have small. Here, you'll discover how to do so, which is a piece of cake.
Text Text Text
Text Text Text
Text Text Text
And so forth up to I believe 8.
How'd I do it?
Simply type in the text size number and you're good to go!
Which brings me to text styles that are found pretty much everywhere in posts on MUSTANG.
Italics
Bold
Underline
Strike
Colors!
For colors, you can see there are so many out there other than just blue.
There are
White
Red
Yellow
Purple
Green
Tan
Brown
Pink
Teal
Maroon
Navy
Lime Green
Gold
Silver
Ember
Hold on, did I just post a color Ember? Yep! Sometimes, by instead of placing a color name, sometimes a regular random character name (or yours) can create a color from the selection above.
For example;
comes out to
Copper
Wicked
Music
Angel
As you can see, some of these colors aren't exactly like the examples I posted above, so in order to get them, most of the time you need to have the number code, but that's a posting job for another day. Right now, these are the basics.
Which brings me to how you can present your posts. Do you want margins? or would it look better centered? To the left? Or right? Easy.
Margins:
gives you
or
See the difference?
Centered:
gives you
To the right:
gives you
Now you have two options for left...either post without code or with it. Up to you. Just do as you did with Right except replace 'Right' with 'Left'.
And that's lesson number two! in many parts! :] Hope this helps!
