The dapple Fae made her way down the rocky slope. Her grey eyes watching her footing. She was thristy and the sight of that stream she had seen below caught her attention. The mare suddenly lost her footing and started sliding down the slope. Her nostrils widened and she snorted as she slid a few feet. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. Her dainty head turned to look up at the slope. She was already so far down. She sighed and moved down her harks in a nervous position as she stumbled nervously down to her destination. Something about this place she had over looked before reeked of danger. Danger such as a flash flood. She glanced around making sure it was safe and moved to dip her head into the cool canyon creek. Her ears flickered in every direction listening to danger while she satisfied her thirst.
Her thoughts drifted in the summer's humid heat and the cool water flowed down her throat. She thought of when she was only a foal. In a small herd she as the only young. Most where geldings who where released into the wild. They had all been killed off mostly. She was one of the few to still be alive from that herd of refugee's. It was cause they where mutts that most of those horses where abandoned. Who would want a mutt horse. In her mind she though mutt horses to be pretty decent. Better than those purebred snobs. Much more beautiful as well, Since the mutts had the best quality's of all the breeds they carried not to mention the wonderful personality's than they had. So kind. Ayame smiled remembering the horses of her old previous herd. She bet they where in a better place. Where they deserved to be. Her steely gray eyes closed gently and she relaxed in the sun thinking of the few years she had lived. All the troubles and great things she had seen...

Erie shudders rippled through the red-bronze shoulders as shadows casted over it, a loud snort forced from flared nares as this massive australian beast twisted and turned in the cavern type passages through the canyon walls. There was no purpose of him to be there, it was far from his own land but a new scenery once in awhile wasn't a bad thing. Though it seemed he was slowly gaining more herd members so perhaps he should begin to restrict himself on his normal adventuring. But going without an adventure could also be missing up the chance of finding another exquisit equine to offer room and board on his lands.
Finally a spec of light was seen at the end of the passage he was taking, letting out a tense breath of relief he hadn't found himself another dead end cave. Drover a sorrel australian brumby, King of Amorous Valley, picked up the pace to a quick trot. Eyes well adjusted to the dark being able to see bits of detail with out becoming frieghtful of everything in the blackness. That did not stop a ear bleeding shreak to escape his maw at the sudden screach and impact of disrupted bats started around his visage. Knocking into his neck and screaming around his ears, defening to the stallion, bolting towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Roaring his disgust as finally he pushed his barrel through the narrow opening into the light of day. Pausing just for a second as he was blinded by the bright light, a bat was captured in his lucious long red locks.
Feeling the innocent creatures small grasping claws at his neck sent the brute into another frenzy, thrashing his skull around rearing and bucking. Lashing out at the air, tossing his skull as much as possible to get the pest out of his mane. Roars and whinnies bellowed from his lips as he tried to reach his own mane with no luck. Finally he tossed the small life form from his mane seeing it almost fall but take flight just before the ground, it screached it'd displeasure against the day of light. Drover snorted and stomped his hooves harshly against the rock floor of the canyons, every sound echoing through the depths. Finally the stallion settled down, a thin layer of sweat lathered over his pelt making it even more shinier and glossy looking. Breathing heavily the stud shook himself out to then look around and see what his surroundings were finally.
Instant heat came to his features in embaracement seeing a stream flow a distance away from him, but there was another equine there in the canyon. Had this lead stallion just freaked out over a bat in his mane while being watched by another? How embaracing was that, not even able to stay cool with a flying rat was stuck to his neck. Well what horse would like that as well handle the weird annoying cry of a bat tangled in their mane. Drover shuttered at the thought of it again, not one of his favored fellow beasts of the wild that was for sure. Collecting himself, with calmer breathing hooves carried him forward to appoarch the grey equine. "Truly sorry for interupting your day with my....... fit over there. " His australian accent thick with a sound of a bit of shame in it. " On a better note I am Drover, it's a pleasure to meet you." The four year old lightened his voice to more welcoming and bowed his crown to her, finally catching wind of her arroma. He was gaining quite the fortune of falling upon more mares lately than just stallions, which was a very good thing.
