Jezebel
Pink tinted hooves carried paint grullo mare up the side of a mountain heading for the top, her dark nares flared as her muscular ivory pillars moved forward, feeling a slight burn in her muscles the mare slowed but only a little. She was not used to climbing because she personally preferred being safely in flat ground instead of the side of a mountain where if she slipped there was a great possibility she would die because once she started falling she doubted she could stop herself. She did not dare look down, though the thought of turning around and going back popped into her mind a lot but she new that would make her have to look down plus she was already almost to the top and she was curious to know if any others were up here, also she wanted to see exactly how big and beautiful mustang really was, because she had only just arrived and whats a better way to see everything other then climbing the highest mountain and checking everything out. Jezebel stopped on a flat ledge to catch her breath for a moment before she continued her climb to the top. Man i hope the view is worth the climb Jezzy thought letting a soft snort leave her nares, she really needed to climb more often it should not have been so hard to climb the mountain especially since she had been taking the easiest looking ways, she felt pathetic and fat losing so much energy making her way up the hill but she could run for a great distance on a flat surface it just made no sense to the grullo tobiano mare. She looked around before making her way u the mountain again taking the flattest looking paths she could find which wasn't easy to do sometimes. A sigh of relief left her dark tinted lips when she finally made it to the top of the big mountain, she felt much better now even though sweat still dampened her beautiful pelt and her muscles still ached a little because now she new she could rest and enjoy the sunset, her breath hitched in the back of her throat as she looked around taking in the beautiful afternoon sky and the rest of mustang, everything looked so gorgeous from up on the mountain and she was beginning to think she would never want to leave and not just because she would have to make the horrible and scary climb back down the mountain which she was not looking forward to doing but what kind of company would she find on top of this mountain, probably none that would really want to hang out with her or be her friend but that mattered little to her now because she was already on the mountain and not planing to leave until the next day. Jezebel let her pillars carry her farther away from the ledge as she looked for any other living thing that might be on this mountain with her, she would rather know if anyone else was there before they could see her not because she wanted to judge them before meeting them but because she was a bit jumpy and clumsy sometimes especially when she was in an unknown area, and since she was on a mountain the last thing she needed was to get scared and clumsily fall of the edge.

Sophia smiled as she led Caju up the rocks to the top of Eagle's Crest. He loved heights and loved adventure. The hot sun beat down on the pair of palominos climbed steadily. Sophia checked the yearling colt was keeping up often and was happy to see he was beaming with glee. Caju wasn't sweating but he was heaving and carefully choosing his footing. This was the first time he'd climbed before and Sophia was impressed.
Looking up the mare spotted she wasn't far from the top and checked Caju. Not far from the top now. The pale fae encouraged and heard a squeak of excitement. She chuckled, increasing her pace to the top. Caju follwed eagerly.
After a little way, the pair made it to the top and were greeted by a magnificent sight. To their right was an imposing storm but it was miles away and Sophia would check often to Caju and herself would be fine. Caju danced happily past her and looked out to mustang amazed and unable to speak. Sophia smiled and walked to his side. Wow...is that really Cloud's Forest over there? Caju asked, looking east. Sophia nodded and Caju simply stood there, flabbergasted.
After a few minutes, Sophia playfully nipped the golden colt on the rump and he snapped back to her, rearing up slightly and boxing the air. Sophia jumped back and smiled before bolting down the ridge, her ivory tresses flying out behind her. Caju gave chase and Sophia quickened, daring him to follow.
Suddenly, Sophia was forced to halt and Caju just stopped before ramming her rump. In front of the palominos was a large gap, the bottom completely masked by shadows. We could jump that, couldn't we? Caju asked and Sophia smiled, nodding. They backed up a little way and Sophia galloped quickly up to the gap, leaping into the air with amazing grace. Sophia landed with ease on the other size and skidded to a stop, waiting for her son. She nickered to him and he began to gallop swiftly, his palomino legs just a blur. He soared into the air, rocks falling into the gap as the yearling cleared the shadowy drop and landed unsteadily beside his mother.
Sophia smiled and looked out over the sunset happily. She dropped to the ground and began to roll, dust plooms rising into the crisp air.
When she finally stopped, her son was gone. She looked around from her laid down position in panic but calmed when she spotted him talking to someone. Who was it? Steadily, she rose and walked over.

Caju chuckled watching his mother rolling in the dust and he looked around, his eyes resting on a shadowy figure in the distance. He watched a little longer, indentifying the figure as a mare. Caju flicked his tail and trotted toward the mare. She was a painted grulla but very pretty. Hello ma'am. You seem new around these parts, am I correct? Caju asked politely, smiling and tossing his head happily as he stopped a respectable distance so as not to spook the girl. He was aware of his mother approaching and looked back at her as she stood beside him. Oh, and this is my mother. He introduced as his mother nickered in greeting.

Phelsley ~Oh My Phelsley!
It was all so confusing! The strangely-shaped crags, dips, caves, holes, and bumps in the earth here were all too ridiculous! Not to mention the dizzying drop and narrow ledges. This was worse than being poked at for running into a tree. Yes, Phelsley had indeed run smack into a tree once. He wasn't one for grace. Poor fellow. His muscles were tightened and his stunningly blue eyes seemed to pop out of his head in fright. The tiny painted stallion's skin was pulled tight and he winced and jumped at every noise.
Behind him trailed a fennec fox. Its pelt was tan and its ears large and alert. Only, he seemed much more relaxed than his larger friend. His eyes were amber slits now, as he peered about, tipping occasionally on loose stones and tufts of dried plants. He stopped and indignantly spoke to the stallion, "If sat on your back, would you not get so tense you flipped over backwards and killed us? Thanks, I really appreciate it." At this, the little pony nearly did flip, before stopping himself and flitting his bright eyes around searching for danger. "Uh, su-sure Hatchet." The rather small and light-boned fox trotted around the stag once and lifted his eyebrows, "Well?" he said expectantly. "Dude, breathe." he said, almost impatiently.
Smiling nervously, the little pony collapsed to his knees while his rump hung in the air. As a result, Hatchet the fennec fox swiftly slunk his way from Phelsley's nose to just behind his withers where he clung on. In one large rushed jolt the short paint lifted himself up to all fours and stared around at his surroundings as if something were going to eat him right then and there. "What ever happened to, 'not getting so tense you flipped over backwards and killed us?'" the snide remark came from Hatchet's sharp tongue.
Not replying, Phelsley continued down the thin and dwindling pathway through the crags. His head bobbed drastically because of his nervousness and Hatchet had to cling on tighter with every jostling step. Right before the fox was about to claw his friend in annoyance, came three figures. The paint stopped in place, frozen in fear. With a roll of his sharp amber eyes, Hatchet dug a claw into his friend's shoulder. As if suddenly woken from a daze, the pony continued his walk towards the others. "He-hello... There." He said nervously, coming to a stop a good yard or two away from the group.

The paint mare walked a top the mountain with her audits perked forward as her blue orbs took in the scenery, everything was so knew and welcoming on mustang she started to wonder if the other horses were welcoming as well or at least some of them were, that would be nice and it would complete her day to meet at least one other horse and maybe make a new friend. Jezebel walked a little farther before stopping and looking around, in the distance she could see to figures had just made their way up the mountain, a soft nicker left her dark nares as she saw one coming toward her though she new it would not here her she did not care much. She nickered in greeting as a palomino colt walked into hearing range. Hello ma'am. You seem new around these parts, am I correct? The colt voiced politely. The grullo tobiano mare watched nodded slightly, thinking that he seemed nice but she knew only time would tell if the colt was nice or not, she opened her mouth to introduce herself when she saw a palomino mare approaching she guessed it was the colts mother, though the colt was the mares height he had a youth look to him which confirmed her thought about the mare and colt being mother and son. "Yes, I am new to these lands, in fact you both are the first ones i have met yet." She nickered, looking from mare to colt. "I am Jezebel, its a pleasure to meet you both. Mind if i know your names?" Jezebel continued sweetly. It was good to meet such nice horses when she had only been here a few days, her worries about there being nice horses here on mustang began to fade away and was replaced with a little curiosity, to who these nice horses were and where they lived or if they were loners like her of course she did not plan on being a loner for long, she just needed to meet the right herd, one the was filled with nice members or at least had a nice leader. "Are you guys in a herd or are you wonders like me?" The mare asked watching them. While she waited she saw a small figure coming toward them with something on its backs, flaring she nares she stepped back wide eyed with her ears perked in alarm as the figure got closer and closer until finally she saw it was a small horse with a fox on its back. Relaxing a little she watched the figure get closer then stop and say. He-hello... There." She noticed his shy tone and nervousness, she wondered why he looked so nervous she hardly noticed his small size as she took a stride closer to him. Her soft blue eyes gazed at the stallion and a sweet smile spread on her lips. "Hello to you as well, I am Jezebel" She nickered in a friendly tone as she watched him then looked to see if the colt and mare were still there before turning her gaze to the darkening sky, there was still quite a bit of sunlight left but in a mere hour or so the sun would set and the earth around them would be covered in darkness.
