Soft thuds echoed in the empty meadow as a mare galloped across the grass, her feet barely touching the ground to the point that she almost looked like she was flying before she slowly came to a stop to catch her breath and found herself in strange lands.
The sun sparkled against her grey coat though many would describe it as being white when it was in the sunlight, even more so in the moonlight but once in the shade, the dapple grey became apparent and the mystique was lost.
Swift Swan sighed as her soft brown/hazel eyes scanned the horizon, wondering if she should keep running, for that was all she had ever done in her life. Ever since she could stand on her own four hooves, she has ran, never stopping long enough to settle down.

The meadow was empty, the sun fairly high and pretty hot in the cloudless sky. Alone walked a bay filly, her gleaming summer coat shining in the glare of the sun. Her deep brown eyes twinkled as she flicked her tail, heading into a joyful and floating trot across the new springy emerald grass.
Steadily, Sonata slowed down and sniffed the grass. Her tummy rumbled loudly and she giggled innocently, shaking her mane and starting to graze quietly on the long meadow's grass.
The filly looked up abruptly, soft thuds echoing through the ground. Excited and yet at the same time nervous, Sonata began to piaffe on the spot before letting out a loud neigh of greeting, hoping the stranger who she'd heard would reply. Softly, she raised her head and walked forward, seeking the stranger out, her walk more of a gentle skip as she trembled.
She hadn't seen another horse in so long!

He wore a lazy, relaxed, and cocky smile as he stood on the edge of the woods. During winter months he blended in nicely with the dark trees, yet during the summer he stood out like a sore thumb. Or hoof. Who ever was reading this and their respective body parts.
He stood at 16.3 hands and was quite a looker. His coal black coat was topped off with a pearly white thick stripe near his girth and his whole pelt gleamed like a new penny. His build was a handsome one, well muscled and lean. His orbs were his best feature though. They could be dark brown and mysterious one minute or be honey brown and relaxed another. They seemed to glow with amusement or they seemed to go right through. Either way, he is one handsome son of a gun.
Searching the empty meadow, he broke into a easy gallop, his flints making soft echos across the meadow. He aimed his carcass towards two lovely looking mares and slowed once he reached the grey and bay. "Hello ladies, lovely day isn't it?" he called softly to the two, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

Hearing a neigh, Swift Swan looked across and saw a young filly come towards and whinnied back in gentle greeting as she watched the young horse come towards with the slight skip as she warmly chuckled, before she caught the scent of a stallion and turned her head sharply towards him.
When he came to close for her liking, Swan stepped back a little, her ears pinned back in nerves and a slight amount of fear. Not having much experience with stallions, Swan was too cautious around them despite their usual like in her. Her long muscled legs defining her speed and strength in them, yet having a subtle beauty as the sun glistened off her coat, hiding her regular, and in her mind boring, Grey with white dusting.
Her slight movements were mingled with a grace that one would not expect from a horse who had strength in their legs and speed as their key feature, as she slightly shook her head to move her long mane out of her eyes as she answered the stallion with a near fake tone of ease. "Yes.... It is... Quite nice out under the sun isn't it?" She answered, a wise yet musical lilt to her voice.

Sonata smiled and 'skipped' toward the grey mare, who chuckled at the joyous movement of the yearling. The bay's ivory socks created a blur as she slowed and bowed her head in greeting to the stranger. Just as she was about to speak, a brute came across. His musky scent filled Sonata with deathly fear, memories of how her father killed her mother in front of Sonata's very eyes.
She still hated him.
The ebony stallion was amazingly tall, like her father had been, over sixteen hands. Shaking her head, the bay filly stepped backward, unwittingly moving with her instinct behind the mare hoping for protection. When Sonata saw a touch of fear in the fae's ears as they flicked back. Sonata decided to face the stallion and asses him first, a little silence after the mare replied to the stud's question.
Yes, a lovely day it is sir. May I ask your name? I am Sonata anyhow. The bay filly said cautiously and flicked her tail.
ooc// yeah, soony will probably join...maybe xD

Rapture chuckled lightly, hoping these two would be joining him at Hidden Cove. Seeing the light grey femma pin back her auds and take a step back, he backed up a step, to seem not threatening. The summer sun beat down softly, causing his pelt to warm. He smiled softly as the two responded in their own ways. The grey was more reserved and untrusting while the yearling was much more open. "It's a pleasure to meet you two. I'm so foolish, I should've offered my own calling. I'm Rapture, lead of Hidden Cove. Do you mind me asking what your name might be miss?" He asked peering down at the grey. "Sonata. That's a good name for you it seems. Do you know the meaning or reason you were named that?" Rapture asked smiling down. The pair obvisouly didn't trust him, not that he minded. He didn't expect them to automatically be buddy - buddy with him. It would take a while to gain their respect, though hopefully he could convince him he wasn't a bad guy.

Swift Swan snorted out the air in her lungs out quickly before she sniffed the air around them before she automatically, and instinctively, stepped in front of Sonata. "It is often polite and wiser to introduce one's self at a safe distance rather than gallop up.... But perhaps that is something from where I was born... And not here over the Salty Sea..." Swift stated as she gave a shake of her head in slight irration, having being raised like a high born, despite her actual birthing. "My name is Swift Swan..... Formerly of the Herd of the Sacred Stone Circle..... But that is very far away now I'll assume..." She stated with an air of Mysticism as her brown eyes turned hazel as she spoke.
