NZUKII && MAZKII
Twin brothers moved slowly over the land. One was painted in shades of chocolate brown, the other dark as night itself, but both were splotched with ivory hairs. They were both short in stature, but what they lacked in height they made up for in personality. Nzukii was a more troubled soul, the deep thinker and isolated twin. Mazkii was more like his great sire Sun Runner, talkative and outgoing. Together, they would have made a good team...if they actually got along, that was.
"Come on Nzu, we're six. Why don't you have a foal with Azure already? It's spring, you know." Maz bumped shoulders with his brother, who snorted and gave his twin a sideways glance. "Stay out of my personal life, Mazkii." Wow. Friendly one, wasn't he? Maz chatted on about this and that as Nzukii listened with half interest. He was calling a sort of herd meeting today, an open joining for any lone equines out there seeking refuge within a herd. His brother and he stopped, their matching ebony tendrils catching on the wind, lightly blowing and dancing on their arched boas and masculine As Mazkii lowered his head to graze, Nzukii took a deep breath. This was his job now, his responsibility. Painted velveteens lifted to the blue sky, releasing a beckoning whinny to anyone willing to listen.
Superb Beach was open to new members.

C O N C E R T O What's life without a little drama?
His hooves struck the familiar sands of Superb without reflection as the painted buckskin smirked. Superb was open was it? Ha. What a joke. He remembered his days so long ago as a foal here and wondered who in the hell was in charge. Concerto also remembered how his father had been loved here and that it was quite possible he would not be welcome. He had to try though; it would eat at him forever if he didn't.
For all he knew, the twins had forgotten the beauty of those amber eyes Winchester had left Concerto.
For all he hoped, the world had forgotten the death of a noble steed.
A pair of horses, a mother and child, had already beaten him to the punch, however, a scene might be in order. His conflict within himself drove him around in circles however, his curiousity of what might happen always got the best of him and for all he knew, this would be the opportunity to be accepted without thought because others were around. The possibility intrigued him and Concerto stepped forward.
Nzukii. Mazkii. he greeted simply, waiting for either a storm or a surprise.
Either way, what's life without a little drama?

NZUKII && MAZKII
Nzukii's long, ebonite tail tickled his hocks as he waited, a lazy expression upon his face and evident in his posture. Mazkii, on the other hand, seemed content and relaxed. He was busying himself with trying to find edible shoots of grass of seaside foliage within the sandy ground. He chatted on and off with his black-and-white brother, whom rarely did more than sigh or "mhmm". But even this did not discourage Mazkii. He was entirely happy with himself (despite the fact that Aria had been gone for over a year now). But time healed all.
It took a very short amount of time for visitors to arrive. The brothers watched in interest, Mazkii with a slight smile on his maw, as a mare and colt crested the sand dunes and approached. They were only the first to arrive. But that smile was wiped clean off of Mazkii's face when a two-toned brute, such as themselves, joined the gathering. As he approached, Nzukii stepped forward, drawing up to his full (but miniscule) height. The stallion greeted them. With the mare and colt here, Nzukii was at a loss as to handle this newly arisen situation.
"Welcome to Superb Beach," he spoke calmly to the colt whom had stepped forward. Dark eyes narrowed at the other stag. "You're back, Concerto." The ever infamous Concerto, original founder of the hated Saints. His sire had been Superb's best and only beta, and still had not be replaced. Even in death he was noble.
Mazkii contained himself, eyes narrowed and heart pounding as he stared at that smirking painted mug. Why was Concerto back? Was he better now, kinder? Or did he want what he always got, revenge?

Winchester's Symphony It had been nearly two years since had set foot on this odd soil that made up the shores of Superb Beach. But alas, he knew that he could never stay away for long. His mother had long since passed, taking all history with her. On her dying breath, she had finally told him that Winchester, his father, had joined the horse spirits in the heavens. A sigh escaped the buckskin tobiano as he loped through the familar grounds. If he wasn't mistaken, Sun Runner had been leader when he was merely a colt, but alas Mazkii had long since rose to power. This was who the painted stud had caught sight of, along with the lead stallion's brother, Nzukii.
Shifting his brown gaze as he moved, he focused on a another painted stallion who was conversing with the twin brothers. Symphony stopped in his tracks, vaguely recognizing the figure. He seemed so familar. The young stallion shifted to look at his own coat then focused back on the other stallion, and that was when it clicked. "Concerto." He had never gotten the chance to meet his brother in person, but alas he knew his kin when he saw one. Ears flicked alternatively, for he knew nothing of his brother's ill deeds in the past. Feeling rude, he turned to face the twin brothers. "Mazkii, Nzukki, my name is Winchester's Sympony. I once lived her as a colt, although I doubt you two remember me." And why would they? Symphony wasn't anyone special, his father's name is what gave him the ounce of recognition that he got every now and then. Although each and every day he felt as though he would have to follow in his father's footsteps and achieve greatness even though it was a long shot.

He wasn't surprised to be greeted as he was by the twins, however, to spy another buckskin tobiano, another of his own kin, Concerto flicked his harks and nodded toward the steeds. Indeed, I have returned. His smirk never left his maw and the spring breeze falling upon the sands added a bitter ambience to the memories his hooves carried.
Eyeing Nzukii, Concerto wondered if he saw right through the long-lost stallion.
Flipping over to Mazkii, the son of Winchester wondered if he was still a pussy and looked for the best in others.
Ah what a wonderful opus this was turning out to be. Concerto's amber eyes sparkled with the same mischief that reigned terror all those years ago with the Saints. Perhaps old habits did die hard and perhaps even more so that he was older and could influence more...

The smell of the ocean air excited him. His two toned orbs danced across the blue Ocean as the wind blew his dark locks out of his eyes and face. The summer wind. He liked it here. It wasn't to cold and wasn't to warm either. It was... Just right. His eyes danced to look over at a group of studs. He stopped his harks pricked forward. Whom where these? He wondered. One particular stud looked dangerous. Eart's curiosity got the best of him and he moved on towards the group his dun pelt glistening in health and rippled with muscle. I'm guessing one of you fine stallions is the leader of this beautiful place... He said softly as he moved forward. His harks where laid in a half listening position and he stopped. A smirk played on his maw watching the other stallions.

NZUKII && MAZKII
Mazkii seemed to be getting more visibly upset by the minute. He'd known how close his sire had been to the old, deceased Beta, and knowing how this fool Concerto had treated the old stag angered the bay overo to no end. Nzukii, on the other hand, was keeping calm. His facade was a poker face, an unreadable mask. He was weighing his options. Concerto was a traitor, not loyal to Superb. But he was also powerful, a leader.
Before any of the stallions had another chance to speak, a fourth your brute joined their ranks. The twin brothers turned to look at him with moving heads in sync, and a slight flicker of recognition passed through Nzukii's eyes. As a young colt, he hadn't spoken much, but he was good at watching and listening. He vaguely remembered this young colt, Winchester's second and more respectable foal. Mazkii watched with interest and Nzukii with vague awareness as the younger spawn greeted his older brother. It seemed this was their first meeting. How strange. To Wincherster's Symphony, Nzukii gently nodded. "I remember." (Not one for words, clearly.) The voice of Concerto echoed through the air once more, and Nzukii tilted his head in thought. Mazkii fumed. "Why? Why are you back?" Maz was more involved in this conversation now than Nzukii was. The king had turned his attention to an approaching figure, a very Spanish looking male.
The newcomer hesitantly joined the conversation, and Nzu snorted loudly at the mention of the king. "That would be me." He eyed the stallion slowly and carefully, glancing back once at the three other painted stags before gracing the other with his words ocne more. "What's your name?" Perhaps he would gain a few more herd memebrs today, even if they weren't all exactly, hmm, welcome?

Winchester's Symphony
Symphony's ears flipped back for he had clearly been ignored by Concerto. Tail flicked in annoyance but alas he decided to leave the matter alone. It wasn't really a problem, and if horses wanted to be rude, so be it. He shifted his attention away from his painted half brother and focused on the newcomer. The little meeting had soon became overrun with stallions. "Concerto.." The young stallion spoke up but decided not to speak anymore to the older stallion. He probably wouldn't pay much attention to him in the first place.

Concerto was enjoying this a little too much. He had seen what damage he could do and today just seemed to be one of those days. In all honesty, he was waiting for the axe to fall and for him to be dismissed however, it seemed that the boys were at a loss with what they should do with him. And of course, it didn't help more and more seemed to come out of no where.
And it finally hit him. This other stud was his little brother. Oh man what an interesting day this was turning out to be. The return of the Winchester line to Superb. What a day. Symphony. he answered blandly, not wishing to show any emotion. He didn't know his brother nor did he have any intentions on knowing him. Since it was obvious he would never see either his mother or father, Concerto shook his head and snorted.
Indeed, Superb has yet to see the end of history.

The mare looked around, her sleek summer coat gleaming in the brilliant sun. She was happy and yet, sad. She loved being alone but she craved other's company now. Her blue orbs were covered by Seven's immensly long forelock that reached down to just above her nostrils.
As her tail dragged along the sand, it seemed to stay somehow clear of debris. Shaking her mane, Seven tossed her forelock to the left of her face and she smiled. Seven looked around and decended quietly down a little rocky trail that led to the beach. She's walked this before but she couldn't remember when. Seven flicked her auds but heard nothing apart from the wildlife.
The lone mare smiled a lonely smile and walked along the beach for a little way.
Suddenly, Seven spotted about three or four horses gathered, talking. Two were twins, one black and wite, one bay and white, a buckskin paint, a dun and another horse. Seven felt slightly awkward and shy being in the presense of so many studs. She quivered slightly and sidestepped toward cover a bit. What would happen if they didn't like her? She knew that somewhere in there was the leader of this area but who it was, Seven was unsure.
She bit her lip, pondering.
Slowly and shyly, the dappled grey mare approached the group, her head quite low and she hugged the cover her posture giving it away that she was uncomfortable, slightly lost and alone. But she paused, uncertain, only a meter or so from the stallions. Her tail laid gentle on the sand, her forelock covering her left eye and one hoof raised in uncertainty.

NZUKII && MAZKII
Mazkii narrowed his eyes, but chose his words carefully. "You've left enough history here. Nzukii, kick this brute out." Nzukii was not listening. As he had been a moment before, his attention was still turned to the stallion whom had approached. His name was Eart, as Nzu found out through the words so heavyily dripping with manners that fell from the brujo's lips. Nzukii almost chuckled to himself. When Mazkii received no response from his brother, he turned angrily to look at his, harks pinning themselves to his skull. But as he turned, he caught sight of a mare hesitantly nearing the group, and wondered how he could have been so stupid as to not catch her scent upon the salty breeze. Nzukii was still facing Eart, to whom he tilted his head in a content manner. "Do you have plans to stay here?" he asked calmly, his voice monotone but with a hint of unrefined brashness. He had not nearly as many manners as this polite brujo, even though he'd been raised by the noble Sun Runner. Psh.
Mazkii, now looking back at Concerto, realized that the infamous stallion had finally greeted his younger brother. Had Concerto not known of their relationship? It was a difficult but split second decision to leave the two stallions to themselves. He'd get back to them in a minute. Gentle brown eyes fell on the dappled mare again and a smile touched his velveteens. She still looked hesitant, one hoof poised in the air as though she could gallop away at any second. Mazkii moved slowly towards her, a gentle nicker pouring form his larynx. "I don't blame you for being nervous. A bunch of stallions usually means trouble, not a party." He smiled in good humor, now standing before the mare and away from the group of testosterone.

The young mare floated lightly over the golden sands, worn hooves absorbing the warmth the blanket withheld. Most knew they could find the new queen down by the shores of Superb, watching for seemingly hours as the ocean tossed and turned. She could waste a whole day away just watching the emotions of the vast, cobalt mass; she had even begun to predict the oncoming weather by observing the ever-changing temperament of the water. Though the young femora was forever laid-back, making herself present only when she felt needed; she would never object to the company of another. In fact, the blue lady had seemed to develop some kind of instinct; and it had become obvious now as she followed the varied scents up through the dunes.
Woven threads dragged behind her, gathering all sorts of twigs and dead grasses. Though it had never bothered her, and likely never would. A shallow sigh departed comma-sculpted nares, jaw grinding contently as Azure effortlessly navigated herself through the coastal shrubs and sloping dunes. Nzukii had told her he needed help now, and Azure wouldn’t give a second thought to aiding him when she felt it were necessary. Though she still had trouble calling him her mate, she would refer to him openly as her partner. She would be there for him, through everything. Almost as ifs he had made some kind of pledge that tied her to him; but more importantly to Superb Beach.
When the family had been forced to leave their home, Azure would wander from the herd’s temporary quarters and to the shores of Harmony Isle; watching over the ocean in order to fill the empty space in her heart. Why she had always been so engrossed by the ocean nobody could know, but there was no doubting she wouldn’t be the same wise mare without it. It would seem almost as though it spoke to her, taught her things; things most equines would turn a blind eye to, or simply never understand.
Tension had a certain smell; it invaded her nostrils it overpowering waves, jittering within her pipes like some kind of sand-paper. It lingered there, struggling to be absorbed by lungs; plaguing her senses for a few moments before she briskly forced the discomfort away. Apart from Nzukii and Mazkii, four other equines hovered within the vicinity; and the tension was not radiating from all. A duotoned stallion was oddly familiar to her, and the vixen soon became aware she had crossed his path in her travels to harmony isle. Then, he had seemed laid back, but the same could not be said from the energy he now radiated.
Harks swivelled loosely atop her feminine crown, the queen carefully making her way around the group to halt a loose distance away. She could observe there, without intruding. Nzukii was agitated, seemingly discomforted by the presence of the ivory and gold tobiano. Mazkii, on the other hand, probably made up most of the heavy air that engulfed the group; his features screwed up in discontent. She wouldn’t allow the toxic air to contaminate her body, a calm mind was something the femora bore at all times. Instead a deep exhale rolled from the caverns of her naires; perhaps a half-hearted attempt at ridding the awkward atmosphere.
Was it necessary to intervene? Should she stay where she was, or stand up to her new position? She hesitated for a few moments, and decided to meet the matter half way; drawing her delicate body ever-so-slightly closer. Despite the absence of speech and obvious emotion, Azure’s presence always seemed to hold some kind of power; and nobody had ever been able to put their finger on what it was. Nzukii’s speech defied her first impression, his usual cold tunes falling from dark lips in a relaxed manner. The approach of a young mare momentarily drew her eyes, though her senses strayed to that of a younger colt, included amidst the discomfort, and then to the lighter presence of a young stallion. The energy within crowds was often overpowering and hard to read, though somehow the queen today had managed it; seeing the six individuals not by their coat colour, but the varied energies they projected. Now, where to start, and what to do?
