Black legs worked hard to pull the stallion to the top of Eagle's Crest. He had heard of the amazing view, and he want's to see it. It has taken over an hour for the stallion to climb to the mountaintop. Loose rocks and heavy winds made the journey hard, but as the stallion stood on the small, flat surface, the stallion decided it was worth it. From here, he could see everything. He gazed at the blue ocean, watching as the tide pulsed in and out off the sandbar.
Standing there, for what seemed like only minutes, had made his legs tired. He quickly glanced at the sun, determining how many hours he had actually stood. Maybe three, he wasn't sure. He failed to inherent his mothers internal timeclock. Shaking his mane out, the grulla stallion turned to leave. He has accomplished his goal, and now he wants out of the cold wind. He slowly made his way down, rocks slipping under his hooves. The steep side was difficult, and he was glad that he was alone. It was better that he didn't have to keep up with any other horse. Or worse, they would have to keep up with him. Gravity made him slide down it, and he luckily escaped without injury.

It was the first day os spring and the young stag was happy to see the back-end of the Winter. He trotted steadily through the wilderness and slowly, something rose up in the distance.
Eagle's Crest.
Kalpesh had heard of the wonderful view from the top and, with little else to do, the buckskin roan overo equine headded towards the steep incline. Tosssing his mane, Kalpesh galloped strongly at it, lurching forward, Kalpesh gradually climbed the loose rocks leading up to the ridge. Eventually, Kalpesh reached the top and smiled. For once, he had acheived something. Snorting, the stud walked to the edge of the ridge and looked out over the wild woods of MUSTANG.
He smiled and stood there, admiring the view for a few minutes before he pulled himself away and decided to head out of the biting winds atop Eagle's Crest. He walked along the top for a little way looking for an easier way down the steep drop. As he looked down, Kalpesh spotted a figure heading quickly down the crest. The buckskin paint smiled and headed down after the equine quickly. He'd always found it easier going down mountains, and not to mention, quite a rush. Nickering at the top of his lyrics, Kalpesh reached the bottom shortly after the stranger. It was always nice to meet new equines, even if they weren't always friendly. The stud just hoped that this one was.

The air was warmer as the stag lowered himself from the jagged rocks. He wore a smile upon his face, happily engraving the scene he has just seen. It is not everyday, nor will it be, that he got to stand on the top of the world. Hopping off of a brown stone, he lazily trotted away from the mountain, shaking his wind-blown mane. The sun shone brightly, and it reflected off of his grey-brown hide. Wonderingly, he gazed his hazel eyes about, catching movement behind him.
His audits pricked as the younger horse made his way to him, sliding down the side of the mountain. He listened as the stallion let out a loud nicker, and responded with his own. Relieved that the horse seemed to mean no harm, he let his legs carry him closer. He let his eyes drink in the interesting coloring that flashed off of the hide. The white made the tawny color pop. He smiled at his word choice in his thoughts. How many horses would say pop? Not many, but the stallion didn't care. It is better to be different than to follow a crowd into destruction.
Stopping a pace or two away, the stallion let his deep voice carry over to the newcomer. Greetings, stranger. I had no knowledge of another being around here. What is your name? The stallion hoped he had not talked to much. It was always is downfall, but he craved a conversation. He has not had one in so long...
Forgive me. I have asked of your name without sharing mine.My name is Razzle Tazzle, but everyone says I should shorten it, so you may call me Razz.
His eyes stared into the younger stallions, waiting for a response. Again, he chastised himself for his amount of words, but it could not be helped. He just has to hope that the stallion is as talkative as he.

Kalpesh smiled as the stag returned his call gently seeming to mean just as little harm as the young stallion did. As the tan coated equine stopped a respectful distance from the stranger, he spoke deeply his lyrics much more mature than he. He must have been in his prime years.
The strange stallion quearied (sp..sorry) the stud's name and he thought for a minute, a flitting strange thought regarding his name. Kalpesh. It was a rather...far-out name, like it didn't have a meaning. It was a kind of... just sort of there, like a tag, a name-tag. He smiled to himself.
He though too much.
The stallion introduced himself as Razz. Kalpesh nodded and replied. I'm Kalpesh, or Kal if you so prefer. The tanned equine said and shook out his mane. So, Razz, were you just out enjoying the view from Eagle's Crest? Kalpesh probed gently, looking curiously over the equine's frame.

Razz stood tall. His shoulders were well rounded and ended in thick hooves that were dusted with black hairs. He was not as tall as some, but he was thick and muscular. He held his proud head high, and he had no quarrels with the world. Razz shook his highlighted mane, tossing it's long lengths out of the way so he can observe his company.
He saw the younger stallion nod at his name and introduce his. He has never heard it before, but the stallion has been alone for some time. I welcome you, Kal. He listened to his inquiry. Razz eyed the mountain behind Kal, and nodded his graceful head. I was. Somebody told me of the amazing view, and I felt compelled to see it. Were you up there? I didn't see you. The top of the mountain was large, but held no trees. He was surprised at his lack of knowledge that another was up there at the same time he was. In fact, he was appalled at himself for not making his presence known.
He swished his tail lazily. The day was wearing on, and Razz knew there was more to see. He was new to this place. Maybe Kal knew of others that the social stallion could meet. So, are you from around here? Maybe you could show me around. Fact was fact. Razz hated wasting the daylight. There was so much to see, and so little time to experience it all.

A loud squeal could be heard echoing from within the treeline before the rising crest ahead. Though not out of fright or anger, it had relief in its feminine tones, the vocals were from a young soul. Just barely a year old two hands below her intended 16hh finished height this deep liver chestnut fully lacked nothing in nutrition. Though obvious she was young to other yearlying she knew she'd faired well better than they, helped her mother had raised foals before and knew what she was doing. Torance snorted at the thought of her mother, her jagged blazed cranium tossing side to side as very long lanky legs carried her forth in a trot.
Finally after a few days of spring had passed she'd escaped the side of her ebony mother and dapple grey sister, venturing outside of hidden cove to explore the world. Perhaps to show off her new shiny adult coat, Tora truly loved how well her foal coat had shed to reveal a very dark red with bright white back left high stocking and two right short socks covering her ankles. She knew if she played her cards right she could get both colts and fillys to bow before her and be her little toys. It put a wicked grin across her vasade, slowing to a walk she heard voices, deep male tones, harks pricked in delight. Different males than that just inside the herd, breathing deeply perhaps she could see if her little self could charm them.
Shaking out her body tassles of her boa licking the air like red vibrant fire, whipcord lashing at air and her flanks, amber optics filled mischievous intentions. Torance could see them through the last line of trees, trotting forth to approach the pair of studs, one of bright duel colors other of darker solid tones. Letting out a soft nicker at her approach, her lyrics still had a slight foalish sound to them, it irritated her as she wanted her filled out seductive adult voice. Well she'd have to make due for now," Well good day Sirs, I'm Torance. Hope I'm not interrupting anything." Awh yes her words were more full than that of a whiny foal, much better. "Lovely day isn't it, splendid to be out on an adventure."
It even made her sick of how sweet her words came out, but if she could sound cute and adorable then hopefully she could pull off the entire act. Now standing obscure to the males having to tilt her dial upward to look at them properly, she hoped by age of two she'd at least be her mothers 15'1hh height. Torance was confused where her growing had gone wrong, she was filled out for a yearling, when born she'd been taller and bigger than other foals, but at some point she'd slowed and they seemed to surpass her. Well whatever the case she knew there was still more for her to grow.

Speech
There was a certain feel to the air as if the pair of stags were in the company of someone else who'd not yet showed themselves. It was an uncomfortable feeling and it made him wary but Kalpesh tried his best to hide his feeling, though he didn't like it. There were 'things' out there who'd like two healthy stallions for dinner.
The patched stag returned his attention back to Razz just in time to catch his response. Kalpesh smiled. Yes, actually, I was but not for long. Just a little too nippy up there for my liking. He replied softly, looking up the side of the cliff again. The stag shook his mane and flicked his tail against his hide before looking back to the older horse. Razz spoke again, querying (sp?) if Kalpesh knew the place and could show him around. He smiled. Yes, I've been around MUSTANG for my whole life but I tended to avoid others before now but of course Razz, I can show you around - Suddenly a loud squeal shattered the air like a thin sheet of glass. Kalpesh snapped his head around and a shiver coldly wipped up his spine. This could be a monster of an equine or it could be a nice horse.
OUt of the shady sky came a yearling formed equine, a young filly of a reddish clestnut tone. Kalpesh snorted and studied her as she looked innocently up to the stallions and spoke sweetly and youthfully. He waited for Razz to answer the youngling as his annoyence of others not joining in the beginning of a conversation rather than halfway through it calmed down.

Razz caught the glance that the painted stallion gave to the surrounding area. Had he worries of predators? His own eyes responded to the nervous energy, quickly darting around. With a reassuring smile, he returned his eyes back to his companion. He as happy that Kal agreed to show him around the unfamiliar land. As he drew a breath to respond, a sound shattered through the woods.
It had spooked him. Frantically he pinned his ears and turned toward the sound. Ready for anything he waited, surprised at the small mare who showed herself. She seemed full of herself, a temptress just waiting to grow into herself. She cant be more than 2, Razz concluded after looking over her. After seeing the annoyance on Kal's face, he took the lead in the conversation that might end up with shallow feelings.
Unpinning his ears, he took a step forward, stopping a respected distance from her. I do hope that was not you who let out that awful squeal. He chose his words carefully. He has had minimal experience with the race of mares. As to the other comment, Razz glanced back at Kal. Turning back to the intruder, he furrowed his brow. Lovely yes, but it can be dangerous for a young mare such as yourself. He spoke with kindness, but his normally even tone held weight and authority in it. He hated it when horses put themselves in danger. This filly should be with her herd. Where are you going, young one? [/color]
