Or lackthereof, I should say. I want to know what on this site is killing your muse (if anything). Are there too many boards, not enough boards, too many herdlands, not enough events, etc! My muse has been down lately, and I'm working on bringing it back up. But I need to know if there is anything I personally can do to help your muse skyrocket again. ^^ Any comments or suggestions are very helpful, thank you!

More events FTW! that little thing that was in the To and From Staff board about all the events was a really good idea!

More events would be awesome! But I think one of my muse issues is when I try to play with "newer" characters or at least characters that dont have as many plots is I run out of places to post them at. It feels when I post threads they stall out, or the person replying to it's style and my style don't mesh well and it hurts my muse. It also seems that a lot of horses are just milling around in open lands instead of joining the herds which seem to be struggling a bit. Even when people join herds they aren't keeping up with posts in the meetings which I know at least hurts my muse for my herd stallion. Maybe I'm just impatient with that, but I wish there was a way to... encourage people to post more especially in herd meetings?

More events maybe so that my horses can have more plots which equals more muse! ^^
the solution to more muse(xD): Events + Plots = Muse

I agree, more events would definitely catch my muse hook line and sinker One of my biggest turn offs when writing is that there are a good few people who do not use punctuation and proper etiquette when writing. I refuse to read posts that go like this: joe galloped into the field full of energy there was a new mare in the area he needed to know her I just can't get through reading posts/replies like that. I understand missing a period or something here or there, but when an entire post is one sentence with no capitalization and nothing but commas, I just ignore it. It's too irritating to trudge through one and my muse dies because I know I'll have to reply. Which means they'll respond in the same manner - it's a viscous cycle. I also feel that the plot pages are very messy and full of the same people repeatedly posting their thread because they're not getting a response within an hour or so. I believe plot threads should be a stickied thread for each person, who once they're done with having their plot(s) worked out, can have it emptied to start over. I'm sure that's a ton of work for mods, but that's just my opinion/idea.

I think in terms of the herds that it wouldn't hurt herd leaders to be able to create events for their herds themselves. I know that the meeting thread is great but a more focused idea for the entire herd wouldn't hurt and it would probably attract people that are actually going to reply. I personally, and I know it sounds awful but, I don't enjoy reading 6 other peoples posts about how they hate the herd leader or something equivalent and then I have to find something to reply to all their internal complaining...where's the muse in that? My point and example would be like what I'm trying out with Estheim and the Prismatic herd right now to get a thread going with the entire herd that revolves around the foals that were just born. It's not just for mothers and foals because it's meant to educate the foals on whatever subjects the participants would like to pass on (how to fight, places to avoid, past stories, manners, etc.) With stallions that rank highly with the alpha guarding/helping and other mares teaching etc. The plotting pages are kind of scary with the way they go everywhere I'm not sure how to best organize those. Perhaps with main ideas like 'looking for love' 'I wanna beat something up' with plots that don't fall under any category being under all those?? Right now you have to post what your looking for in the title of your post to get people to read it and reply so it shouldn't be that big of a change. Plots relating to specific herds could be placed in the herds themselves and that would keep herd members clear on where their leaders are posting and allow them to participate. That's all I can think of >.<

Hey Everyone!Wow, it seems that the past few weeks or so, there has been a little less activity here. Where did everyone go? Is there any way to help with this or is it just a busy schedule? This could be a muse problem but I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there aren't quite as many people on lately. Just feel it should be discussed C:

I've noticed the same thing, Free! I'm thinking we all may be stuck in a bit of a rut, held back by something. I've been feeling the same way, and I need to shake it off! I'm thinking that cleaning out old threads, deleting old characters, etc. might help a bit. But we may need more than that! Idk what to do about it. Any ideas?

Yes, I do think deleting some things may help, and I have been in the same sort of rut. But for me it's more that every time I come on there is only two or less posts to reply to. I think MUSTANG should do something to stir up the site a bit. Like, a big fat disaster we've never done before. Or a huge surprise we've never done. Something that catches everyone's eye and is exciting enough to get our muse back. What do ya' think?
