Mods I don't know if this is allowed, but Anaira can't get on the comp so with her permission I'm doing short posts for her mares' birthings.
Dierdre worked for hours and birthed a healthy colt, whom she named Rano. He was the spitting image of his father with his markings, but his build and coloring was that of Dierdre.
Syrci stood over her filly, pleased that she had finally come. The wise mare titled the filly Alarci and cleaned her brindled fur as the daughter of Alaric nursed on warm milk.
Ayria watched as her newborn colt took shelter in the curve of her flank. He was healthy and hardy, as well as intensely handsome. Rhett's frame was heavy, just as his father's and his features were classically shaped.

Thanks so much for doing that for me Essy!! I wasn't sure I would have time in between classes to write anything and I really wanted to make sure my foals were born. In fact I didn't even know Dierdre was pregnant >.< sorry...I meant to ask you that. Ayria's was really important because I needed to show her devotion to Rhett cause it's going to come into play later on.
Following the strict directions Dierdre had given her, Syrci entered Angel’s Reign. ‘Such a beautiful place’ her eyes open in wonder at the scenery, breathtaking even in its declining stages. Syrci’s proud head hung lower than normal, weariness flickering through her eyes. It was finally time to bring her little one into the world. She was excited, the adrenaline just beginning to spike through her as her muscles clenched in readiness. Lowering herself to the ground she prepared for a difficult birthing. Her mother before her had had difficulties with many of her children as well. Nerves stretched and pain receptors actively working Syrci gave a final push. Heaving a great sigh of relief and exhaustion Syrci reached over to nudge the black body of her foal. The new born thrashed its legs and eagerly began attempting to stand. Syrci snorted gently, laying her muzzle calmingly on her new filly. “Watch me,” she whispered standing with tired elegance. The filly’s bright blue eyes watched her every move with admiration and finally managed to get her legs under her. Lurching to her feet Syrci steadied her with a light touch, pure joy dancing out of her eyes. “You will be Alarci, my little one, and you will be beautiful.”
Stamina built up after months of traversing the entirety of Harmony Isle this journey to Angel’s Reign was nothing. Ayria was delighted with herself over the fact that she could travel twice this distance and only be slightly winded. ‘Looks like those countless days of running were far from pointless.’ She laughed at herself until her expression of amusement ended in a grimace of pain. Her little foal was an eager one. ‘Maybe he's as eager as his mother. I can’t wait! After this is over we’ll have so much fun.’ Imagining what her new foal would be like and how it would change her life helped to distract Ayria from her difficult birthing. Something the laced mare was desperately thankful for. Before long a tiny black body with silver mane and tail lay next to hers, his lacing more beautiful than she could have ever dreamed. He raised his head to look at her and matched pairs of green eyes met for the first time. She got up slowly, gently nudging him to follow and with relative ease the young colt got to his feet to stare into the delighted face of his mother. She had decided to stay at Angel’s Reign for just a little while, until she was sure he could make the long journey back without trouble. “I don’t want to tax you Rhett, we need to make sure we build up your strength, so that you too can run with the wind.” She gave him an elated smile as he cuddled next to her as nothing could have made her more pleased. ‘He’s perfect. He will be my hope, the meaning to my life, and my salvation from the past that haunts me. How did I get so lucky to have this beautiful colt?’
