Late evening and the stars were fading from their dark coffins inside the velvet sky. The air was calm and still, the sounds of evening summoned to silence. And yet only one life form seemed to stir in the evening. Alaska. He smiled, turning his frame toward the only sound the echoed for miles. Amaryssa Falls. The brumby was new around and this was his forst stop in the land of mustang. Such a strange world as well but Alaska was a tough guy. Swishing his dark tail, he looked around for any equine who may be looking at him from somewhere in that seemingly enternal evening come night. He was calm, and his feelings still the same as five minutes ago.
Boredom.

White maiden made her way into the falls. Life had been utterly unfair to her over the years. The evils she had seen were beyond what others could understand. She had been stripped of everything at a very young age. She had lost her voice for so long. Speech was still new to her in many ways. Her stutter still often present. She hated that damn stutter but she could not help it.
As she moved along she could smell another equine. She was down wind so he would not have such an easy time catching her scent wafting around. She moved forth her tiny frame giving her a rather chopping jog. It would take a good rider to be capable of sitting her bouncy trot. She moved forth towards the smell until she could see vague form in the shadows of night.
She whinnied lightly. She would speak little but company would be nice. Her tone was light, friendly, warm, and inviting.

Lost in his own thoughts, the stag stared blankly into the distance. He swayed his dark tail and blew through his nose. Slowly, he shifted his weight and rested one hoof, lowering his neck as balance. A soft, gentle wind whipped his flowing mane and he flicked his ears at the faint sound of hooves. Pricking his ears and turning around to where the sound seemed to have come from, Alaska was suddenly alert. He couldn't smell the equine but he saw a small figure approching in a rather bouncy trot. He couldn't be sure if the horse was a mare or stallion but, due to it's size, Alaska assumed a mare...a small mare. She winnied, softly and invitingly and Alaska smiled, whinnying back and slowly walking forward to greet the stranger. Greetings stranger. How are you on such a rather...lonely evening? The brumby asked, his tones calm but bold.

Grey femme watched him with cautious amber orbs. Her tresses danced with a smooth spring breeze and she inhaled the fresh air deeply. She pawed at the ground a little nervous, slightly unsure. You have to understand the poor girl she has been without for so long now. Yet, she is still trying so hard. She formed the words clearly in her head before speaking them aloud. The damned stutter of course would get in the way. "I...I aaam finnne. Thank youuu. Yes, it is rather lonely here at times isn't it." She gave the stag a meek smile and let her eyes drift towards the sky just past him to watch the oddly shaped clouds slowly float by.

Alaska smiled kindly to to the small grey and swayed his tail lazily. He spotted her unsure pawing and stepped a little back away as she clearly felt awkward with him. He lowered his head submissively and continued to back away slowly, his auds swivveling around and his dark forelock falling over his honest eyes. Please forgive me miss, I don't mean to make you feel awkward. I..I'm sorry, I'll leave you now... Alaska trailed off. She was making him feel shy! Turning steadily around, the stallion gave one last nod to the mare and bgean his walk of shame.
Not once before had he been made to feel so...so weak.
