It was her first time here and Aria was at a complete loss. She made Andalu stay behind but now she wished that she had her avian friend with her. He was so wise... surely he would be able to tell her something? No... She blew that already with her fierce "You better stay here Andalu otherwise I'm going to let the foal do whatever they want to you". It probably wasn't the threat that made Andalu stay behind. It was probably the fact that he knew Aria needed, for once, to face the unknown by herself. After she gave birth, she could go back to Andalu, then search for Mazkii. Ever since the male lost Superb, she hadn't seen him. She was finally beginning to truly care for Maz and now she couldn't find him? It was bitter irony. Waves of pain rolled through her, causing her to stop and gasp. No one told her how things were going to go, not even her stand-in mother, Moth. She supposed the tired queen had her reasons but... Another roll hit her and she started to breathe and let her instincts rule her. Not long after giving into her equine-self did she feel a slip from behind. Glancing back, she saw a small body covered with a wrapping. Leaning forward, she licked and nudged the material away and watched as her baby emerged. Aria's heart sighed. A little filly. A little filly who resembled both mother and father. While Aria was a brindled chestnut tobiano, the little girl before her was a brindled bay tobiano. Mazkii would be so pleased to see his coloring against the dark stripes and ivory. What shall I name you? Aria asked her daughter. It only took her a moment or two before the name revealed itself. Aria would stop the musical terms that became names. Her filly would not have those hideous ties to Aria's abandoning mother.
