Heart breath heavy as she pushed to get this foal out. The small colt was pushed out as she stood to give her new son a couple of licks. The mare had done her best to raise Remus well in hopes that his father, Mars would be proud of him. It hurt to know that would be her last baby from the painted stallion as she settled her eyes on this child. Carmen had also disappeared and Heart was very lonely. Now it seemed even Faolan lost his throne as her tail slashed her flanks."Come on, little one." She whispered softly as she nudged the colt to their home.

Fenris

The black colt picked up his head, bewildered at the brightness of the world surrounding him. He didn't know where he was or what had changed so suddenly that put him in this white place. As his senses slowly woke up he was flooded with new sensations that he couldn't really place. The prickly feeling of the grass against his legs and belly, the warmth of the sun against his back, the velvety smooth feel of his mother's tongue as she cleaned him. Everything was new. Nickering softly, his raspy voice even sounding strange to him, he looked up to him mother as she cleaned him. He felt a drive deep down, that told him he needed to get up, that he should be standing on his appendages that were folded beneath him like his mother was.

His first attempts to stand were met in defeat. It seemed like his legs were almost too long for him to adequately control. At last leaping to his slender legs, a triumphant laugh emitted from his throat and his tail flicked proudly against his flanks as he stood in the place that he stood. It was then that his mother beckoned him to come with her back home, what ever that was. However he stood still watching her as she moved gracefully away from him, and he concentrated trying to figure out now how to get his unruly legs to move like his dam's. Starting with a few shuddering steps, he gained his balance quickly and moved forward catching up with his mother.
