The dappled auric mare stumbled along, barely picking her inky flints off the jade colored grass. Her mind was far off in another world, thinking of the tawny hessian who had captured her attention along with his juvenile son. The two wheat colored stags were quite a pair. Aden was the silent and strong type while his nearly grown hire was outgoing and a huge charmer. Saphira had taken a liking towards the pair as well, adopting them as her sire and brother. Anttony had bugged Saphira relentlessly but Bo knew her daughter enjoyed his antics and found them quite entertaining. Bo had also been amused and when spring rolled around it was no surprise she carried his child. Nearly a year later the king and prince had both gone off to better places. Aden's old age had caught up to him along with the wounds of his most recent fight, the king had soon passed away. Anttony was expected to take Prismatic Creek over and rule like his father did but surprised every herd member by leaving without a good bye. This sent the herd in to a downward spiral.
Bo looked about, vaguely aware of her surroundings. Only once had she entered these lands and that was the birth of Saphira. Bo remembered little things like a short, squat tree and an odd shaped bush but besides that she had no clear idea of where she was going. Her amber pools once soft and wise were now weary and down. The short mare was thin, frail even as if she could be picked up by the wind and blown to pieces. Her slightly dished crown hung down, almost touching the jade colored velvet landscape. A sharp pain jolted her forward a few steps before a groan was released from her velvet mug. Sge sunk to the grounfd as the contractions began. Each one shook her body with a wave of pain that ended as quick as it had begun.
Soon Bo turned to face her own personal devil. The child would remind her of the two she had lost every glance she took but Bo knew this is what she needed to heal. She needed this babe to remind not of who she had lost because Aden and Anttony had never truely left. She carried memories and feelings she couldn't rid of and perhaps one day she would feel better.
Bo examined the filly, noting anything that might harm here. She was a healthy little vixen and Bo could already tell this babe would be vibrant, beautiful, and a lust for adventure. Bo chuckled softly and nuzzled the filly tenderly. "My darling Keeva. You look like your father and brother except you have your sister and I's eyes." Bo said softly, a tiny grin upon her mug. She quickly groomed the vix and stepped back to allow her to stand.
