The tawny pregnant mare searched Angel's Reign, her ebony legs and hooves, restless. She was in a state of throbbing pain orginating from her stomach. Aphrodite had not expected the foal to come so early in the foaling season, but it had. She was over excited but could hardly stand the pain. This was her first foal and she never thought it would hurt as much as it did. She picked up a fast walk towards a large oak tree, providing shade and the comfort of grass beneath it.
Aphrodite let her head down to touch the ground before kneeling down on all four pillars and rolling to her side. She let out an exhale of breath as she rested and watched her large heaving stomach out of her right blue orb. She pushed as soon as she felt the throbbing pain and snorted. She felt that she was making some progress and pushed again as the pain came. She felt a bulk slip onto the ground and whinnied loudly. The birthing had been really easy, not alike how she thought of it to be.
She raised her buckskin dished head and her blue orbs scanned the form who was attempting to rise to it's feet. A beautiful bay colt stumbled falling into his mother. Aphrodite spotted his gorgeous blue eyes as he looked right at her. She snorted, touching her muzzle to her offspring and smiled. She shook her mane out and rose to her feet, nudging the colt to do so as well. He only stumbled and fell once again. After a few more tries, the colt rose to his feet. He let out a shrill nicker and stumbled towards his mother. Aphrodite dropped her nose, her neck arched beautifully and the colt rose his slightly dished head touching his mother. Aphrodite smiled thinking about how strong her colt was. She blinked her eyes and mummured four words, "Welcome my little, Perseus."
