General Rules

¤ You must respect the staff, and all of the other members. Show respect to others, and you will gain respect in turn.
¤ [ooc] Out of character fights will not be tolerated!
¤ One account per member, please.
¤ Please read all announcements
¤ After posting your character's info, please wait for them to be accepted before posting
¤ You risk your account will be deleted if you are gone for over two weeks without posting in the away board.
¤ There is no posting minimum, but please, a decent paragraph or two, at least.
¤ Three weeks are equal to one season.
¤ Power-playing: the only type allowed is general biting/nipping/touching, as this helps keep things exciting. The only exception to this rule are Alphas and Betas, as sometimes they need a bit more power to make sure their rank is respected as it should be. To this end they may power-play with those members of their herd - no matter what land they're in! They may also power-play to punish unwelcome trespassers or to chase them from their land. Such power-playing examples include inflicting mild wounds, dodging any retaliation and herding (chasing away). Beyond these exceptions/allowances no power-playing or god-moding is allowed.
¤ All pictures must have credits, and may not be wider than 550 pixels
¤ Character stats must be included in each in character post or you must link to your log from your signature. No exceptions! Nothing worse than having to search for information about the character you're replying to.

Character Rules

¤ Only horses are allowed, with the exception of pets. These may not be roleplayed alone, however.
¤ No creating pregnant mares!
¤ Characters may live until the age of 20.
¤ All characters age in the Spring.
¤ You may only play one lead and one beta. These do not include lead mares and stallions that are decided in character.
¤ Horses much be 3+ in order to breed.
¤ Mares and stallions may lead a herd.
¤ Lead mares/stallions need to be posting IC atleast once every 5 days. If this doesn't happen, you will get one warning, then the lands will be taken.

Claiming Rules

¤ Only Alpha and Beta stallions/mares may claim other horses.
¤ Claiming may be done in any public land.
¤ Force-claiming may be done in The Meadow, or in a herd land. If a horse wanders into a herd, they may be force-claimed there.
¤ Mares/stallions cannot be force-claimed if another lead is present in the thread - the mare/stallion must choose.


Challenge Rules

¤ All fights are played out in the Rouge Battle Grounds.
¤ Each member is only allowed two challenges for land per MUSTANG game year.
¤ Each fighter is allowed to have 2 hits and 0 dodges.
¤ No powerplaying! This will be an automatic loss!
¤ No horse can die unless previously discussed and agreed on.
¤ The board password is equine.
¤ When challenging, you must post a thread in the mare or stallion's land. If they do not reply to your post in one week you will win by default. If the challenged horse does reply accepting the challenge then you must begin a thread on the Rouge Battle Grounds board.
¤ Once the fight thread is posted on the Rouge Battle Grounds board, if either opponent doesn't respond after three days the other opponent wins by default.
¤ The staff decide who wins by giving points (out of five) for specific criteria.
¤ You must have done at least 50 posts to challenge for a land.
¤ Beta positions may be challenged for providing you have the Alpha's permission. This permission must be granted in character.
¤ After a stallion or mare is challenged for their land or receives/claims a new land, they may not be challenged again for two real life weeks.
¤ If an inactive lead loses their land, they may not challenge again until one real life month has passed (eg. if they lost the land on 20th December they cannot challenge again until 20th January).
¤ Leads may set terms for the horses that challenge them.
¤ If seven days go by without a lead being posted [on any in character board] then they will be deemed inactive and their land will be put up for claim [unless player is posted as away].

Stealing Rules

¤ Only Alphas and Betas may steal.
¤ An Alpha/Beta may only make one successful steal per week.
¤ If your mare/stallion gets stolen, and you would like her/him back, you must either fight for them in the Rouge Battle Grounds, or steal them back once their “rest period” is up.
¤ In depth steal rules located in steal board.

Breeding Rules

¤ Force breeding allowed if both players consent.
¤ No graphic breeding.
¤ Breeding is done in spring.
¤ Birthing is done in autumn of the same year.
¤ Foals must turn 1yo the spring after they were born.
¤ Mares may breed again the same year their youngest foal turns one. This may change if we get another flood of foals.
¤ Breeding can occur in any land, but if you want a foal, you must post in the Lands de Amour.
¤ Twins can only be purchased with MUSTANG Dollars. View the store for more info/options.
¤ All birthing occurs at Angel's Reign. Stallions may NOT be present.
¤ In order to breed, the two horses breeding must have had a recent thread together.
¤ When creating your breeding thread, you need to use the form provided.
¤ The staff will post the stats of your foal in your birthing thread.
¤ If you wish to delete a dam before her foal is 1yo then you need to PM a staff member for permission. If permission is granted then a surrogate dam must be found that has a foal of the same season.
